The IQ is an ideal second car – although it has 4 seats the one behind the driver is only suitable for a child as there is no leg room and the other back seat would not be comfortable for a long journey. Both front seats are spacious with plenty of leg room. I use the back as a boot and it easily accommodates my weekly shop.

Because if you take nuclear, you have to build about 20 plants before you can compete against natural gas. I have a 2014 iQ2 with only 22,000 miles on it but this is my third iQ and I think they are great. Lots of room in the front and very comfortable with a lot of big car extras not normally found on city cars.

I drive the 1.33 model and it is nippy, it’s obviously not the fastest car on the road, but it’s certainly not the slowest with 100HP shoved into a car so small. It comes with tons of gadgets as standard as well, keyless entry, rain sensing wipers, electric mirrors, auto-dim rear view mirror. I’ve also got the optional extra bluetooth installed in mine, but thats not a standard feature. I’d recommend the car for young couples or possibly a second car in the family.

It can be a bit noisy on a motorway BUT it holds its own with the traffic at 70+ mph, and still has oomph to get out of the way. Mine is an automatic (lovely and smooth and it seems to change gear even though it is a CVT) and so I pay £20 a year in tax! I keep the rear seats down all the time for my two dogs but the rear seats are a bit cramped anyway. Nippy engine, great economy, cheap to run, cheap to service at Fish Brothers Toyota in Swindon. Mine is badged all round as a Scion (Toyota North America/Canada) so I have the only Scion iQ2 in the UK. I will never sell it as they aren’t made anymore and 2014 was the last year of the Japanese made cars in the UK.
